Hainan International Carbon Emission Rights Trading Center Co., Ltd. is established as a carbon emission rights exchange for international carbon reduction products and derivatives trading. As one of the three major state-owned airlines, Eastern Airlines will actively assist the Hainan International Carbon Emission Rights Trading Center in promoting the trading of carbon reduction products under the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) mechanism. This will help the Hainan International Carbon Emission Rights Trading Center become an important carbon trading venue for the global aviation industry, enhancing China's activity, influence, and pricing power in the international carbon market system.
